Reviews
Loved their buffet. Went there for dinner and enjoyed their food. Their seafood was all fresh and top notch. If you want lobsters, this is the place to go. They have a wide variety of choices, including a good spread of sushi/sashimi and Indian food. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in Hong Kong.
Fantastic food, great variety of cuisines and dishes, very good quality ingredients and delicious desserts! Totally worth the money!
Of the three big hotel buffets located at Pacific Place, this one doubles the variety of food as compared to Marriott Cafe and triples the Garden Cafe at Conrad Hotel.
Though the quality of the ingredients on the menu is more down to earth, compared to what's available at Marriott, the shear variety more than makes up for it, for the same price point. Cuisine includes Japanese, Thai and of course Chinese. Menu items rotate during the course of the meal, adding more excitement and surprise each time you visit the food bar.
The deserts alone, makes Cafe Too, a must, especially if children are involved.
Lunch was 500, don't forget to use your HSBC credit card for a 10% discount.
Highly satisfied with the service and the food at this buffet. We came with three little children. Staff are highly accommodating and this place is very children friendly. Good variety of food that meet everyone need. The only seafood it doesn’t provide is fresh oyster. The dinner buffet has a theme to cross over with local restaurants, so it offers many local food tonight. Had a great time!!
I gave them a 4 stars only. As a high class restaurant in a high class hotel, the service could be a bit better. The sashimi server just doesn't want to give you enough, and you would have to go back again, not generous enough. BBQ same, just serve the neck, head or bones. They closed at 10pm but at around 915pm, almost every food is empty. They are not willing to refill. They were able to get 5 stars from my review if not because of the above. I do not pay cheap and just want to get the service and food for that price.
Not the best food and certainly not for that price (1600+ for 2 people??). Mostly Asian themed dishes and not a wide variety at that. It’s been a few years but definitely can say not a lot has improved.

We were initially supposed to be dining elsewhere on the day, but when we went to that restaurant to eat, we found it was a Café, rather than a restaurant as advertised. Luckily, we could book a table at Cafe TOO within five minutes— the first indicator of good service.
There was a good variety of food options, including for pescatarians, and vegetarians. The food was all high quality— my only issue was with the bread pudding. I have always found the problem with bread puddings at Hong Kong buffets is that they have very little bread and are too eggy and soggy. Sadly, this was the case here. Apart from the problem with the bread puddings, and a few of the desserts, the rest of the food I ate was very enjoyable, and I strongly recommend the Lentil Curry. It was delicious!
At the table, two of us took part in the free-flow regular drinks package (juices and soft drinks) as it costs $98 for free-flow drinks, rather than $58 a glass. The other two took part in the free-flow wine package, which included Prosecco, house white and red wine, costing $268, rather than more than $400 per bottle, so the deal was definitely good!
The service was brilliant, despite it being a buffet, as the cooks were very polite, and the waiters were exceptionally efficient at cleaning away plates and topping up our free-flow drinks.
There were no issues with cleanliness— all the napkins, cutlery and buffet areas were very clean, and the toilets were very nice (and very clean!).
In terms of price, although it is more expensive at HK$498 per person from Monday to Friday and HK$558 per person on Saturdays, it is relatively good value due to the good service, high-quality food and large variety of options— Japanese, Chinese, Western, Italian, Indian, Thai, and more. Moreover, all children under 12 years of age will receive a 50% discount on the adult buffet price. Aside from this, HSBC Credit Card holders receive an additional 15% off, and you can earn Shangri-La Circle points which can be used to redeem free stays or convert to Asia Miles for 1=1.
In terms of location, it is above Pacific Place, next to Hong Kong Park. There is no issue with the location, but I will not rank as five stars as my favourite location would be near the sea, or by a harbour, and we were not seated right by the window.
I would love to come back here and stay at the hotel for a night and experience the full Shangri-La experience.
Updated in 2022: the food quality is lowered now.The stewed soup contains less valuable ingredients now.
In late September, this restaurant had the special offer and gave discount to all customers. Remember to join their membership scheme to get the discount. However, the promotion also made the restaurant a bit crowded.
The food quality was better than expected as they served fresh seafood and sushi. For Chinese food, there’re soup, stewed meat(佛跳牆), Dimsum etc. But some waiters weren’t experienced and provided so-so service such as kept asking you to have tea or not even you had answered a few times😅. Around $450 per head at a 5 stars hotel served with this kind of food and service. The price was reasonable.
